my 2nd blouse

( malas nak google). Ni la hasilnya yang baru separuh siap. saya plan nak bubuh tali jugak kat tangan tu... tengok la kalau rajin... heheh... plan nak pakai gi kerja hari jumaat ni... almaklumla hari jumaat saja boleh melaram pakai baju biasa hari lain memang baju batik oren tu je la mampu digayakan.

okehla.. bila pakai rasa selesa cuma kalau saya buat next time mungkin saya akan tambah 1/2 inci dibahagia dada..( bersedia supaya kalau tergemuk sedikit masih boleh pakai). hubby saya kata ..cantik cuma panjangkan sikit belah kat tepi tu... hmm.. nanti saya pegi bukak sikit tepi tu jap lagi.

the cabbage pattern dress

hi all,
how r you gals.. hope everyone is doing fine.. i ve crochet and knit less this few weeks due to several reason. one of it is i injured my hand, ( felt down stupidly at my parents house ,  kids spilt the drink on the floor) on the forth Aidil fitri and  the pain is still there, eventhoug after  massage by a masseur , especially at the elbow join and wrist. having a 2 years old attached to me most  of the time like a koala bear make it worst, i have to use the painful hand  to carry her around when the tantrum started...another reason is i was busy sewing new clothes for my 4 daugthers  for raya and open house after raya..i ve started many project though... but none of them completed ( sounds familiar...:-P )

I ve crochet this dress  about a year ago...  to display it on my yarn shop wall.So many people attracted to this dress but i refuse to sell because i know once i sell it, i will never make another one... the yarn that i use is a high quality ice yarn and fr the dress alone it took 1.5 ball of 100g yarn. i use cotton summer mercerized  yarn for this project.

unfortunately i have lost the pattern i ve print out from the internet 12 years back. Still have the the dress with me , i will try my best to write the pattern and share with  you...

material use: Indonesian cotton
hook no 5 (3mm)

1. ch 110
2.dc in the 4th ch from the hook.

simply sunhat ( Again?)

Before Ramadhan someone has order storybook hoodie for her 8 months baby. she wanted the baby , name Ilham to wear it in the hospital after the heart operation. oooh... at first i want to reject the order as i always emphasize.. i am a leisure crafter who craft at my own sweet time. i hate taking orders and meeting dateline. But after heard the story about the baby, my heart goes with him and i decided to take the order... the operation was on the 9th of july i just had 1 week to finish it. unfortunately 4 out of  that 7 days i was down  due to fever and diarhea, so left me only 3 days to finish the order. i managed to finish the order and time and send it together with the car pillow ( my first experiment with shape pillow). I really hope the baby and the mother will treasure it. The last news i heard was the baby is still in ICU but stabilized.

so.. this is the leftover yarn. The Lion brand  pound of love yarn my dear darling bought me in US last year served me better that i expected. with just 1 skein of yarn i ve made 2 storybook hoodie sweater , 1 1 for my 2 years old toddler and another 1 for Ilham. I also made 3 big roses for my daughter's teachers day present and a sunhat. With leftover from Ilham sweater i crochet the sunhat. The leftover just enough to make one ( i throw away about 10 meters leftover after the sunhat as i get sick of looking at the yarn for more than 1 year)

i must admit that i really love this sunhat pattern .. i had made more than 10 of them and still like it. before. I left it to my shop assistant, mira  to decorate the sunhat with any decoration of her choice , but it still look plainly the same after a week. last monday, on Nuzul Quran holiday,  i was at the shop as both of my assistant on leave, only then i had a chance to garnish ( sounds delicious eh..?) the sun hat. i use felt flowers that has been premade by Nurul, my assistant and sew some buttons on it. so tadddaaa.... here it goes the purple pinky sunhat...like it? its available for sale at my shop, very reasonable price.

am so addicted with the hexagon (baby) sweater

dear all...
how are you and how's your day..? with today is just  1 day away from Ramadhan ...i would like to wish all muslim friends RAMADHAN KAREEM and hopefully this Ramadhan will  be a turning point to make us to be a better muslim.

i found a very very easy sweater pattern just a few days ago. actually  i have came across many pictures of this type of sweater but  all this while i thought that it is constructed from many granny square.. hmm... i am quite allergic to grannies ( square..:-) ) as i hate  to assemble the pieces together. But who knows ... it was not made from a rectangle granny square but a hexagon granny that require minimal stitching... to view some of the picture that you can google for this type of sweater click here : many crochet hexagon sweater pattern .

the sweater was made from 2 hexagon ( segienam) . for this one  i make it into 10 rows( round). i use DMC sunto yarn ( exactly 2 balls) cost me RM34 and some cotton ICE yarn i bought many2 years ago for the edge , before my 2nd daughter was born , and now she is 9 years oledy..:-P.... hehe...at last i manage to use to for something...***sigh**. The size is for 3 to 6 months... can go up more than that if you have a "petite" baby..

what i did is, crochet a hexagon
then make another 1. Fold  both hexagon into 2 ( to form half of the sweater). stitch 2 halves at the center back and on top of the sleeves.crochet around  another 5 or 7 rounds to make a colar  and edging... sew a button and ... tadaaaaa... you are done...
This is the diagram of 2 identical hexagons use to construct the sweater

i am so addicted with this simple sweater that i keep making a few more... and it is damn fast  , almost like crocheting a hat only...

Bunga kain(cloth flower)

Langkah-langkah (steps)
1. First Iron kain tu untuk menghilangkan segala kedutan. kalau tak berkedut tak payah la iron

2. tekap bentuk bulat  atas kain
3. buat sebanyak mana yang dipelukan. FYI satu kuntum bunga biasa menggunakan 5 bulatan.
3. Lipat bulatan kepada 2 bahagian
4. Lipat lagi kepada 2 bahagian hingga jadi suku bulatan. Iron kalau rajin supaya bentuknya stay (aku suggestkan iron..)
