last night i was in the sleeping mode but somehow i cannot sleep , but i cannot do other things too coz i am in the sleeping mode... hehehe...so i did the most enjoyable thing i can think of.. i crochet this sunflower...:-P

lots of grannies...

Many months ago i was pissed off with so many leftover yarns in my treasure chest... so i decided to crochet lots , lots of basic granny squary out of the leftovers.. but never necide what to do about it... i've created mess out of mess...:-) so today i assemble it back and gonna make a basic granny square vest, or cardie to my daugther.. if i manage to get it done by this weekend i will update you guys ok..

i've knitted this vest more than 10 years ago when i was pregnant to my eldest child.few months ago my third daughter found this vest lying among the old cloth in the store and she was so like it...and insist on wearing it. So that's how this old vest appear again..:-). this is among the first garment i knitted , using only the cheap Nona wool. knitted in garter stitch.

For those living in Malaysia will sure know how hard to get the good quality yarns. delivery cost and repacking charge is 1.50/skein. so let say:

1. you bought 6 yarn from the store at the price of RM15

2. After discount 25% the price is RM11.25

3. but i need to open the yarn package and send it one by one to you all. so i charge RM1.50.

4. so total you have to pay for a RM15 yarn is RM 12.75. Which means you save rm 2.25/ skein.

5. you save a total of 6X1.25= RM 13.5. you can even buy another high quality yarn with that price

The most interesting about baby beannie is you can be as creative as you like... an the good thing is.. baby will be cute in any type of beannie. ini topi mickey mouse baru untuk alisha tapi dia tak sempat nak menggayakannya lagi.. hehehe.

untuk buat topi ni sangat mudah. basic untuk buat topi ialah
1. mula2 kita 4 rantai then cantumkan.
2. dalam gelung yg kita dah cantum tu pulak kait 6 DC ( row 1)
3. kait pulak 2 DC dalam setiap dc hingga dapat 12 DC (row 2)
4. kait 2 DC , 1dc , 2 DC selang2 sampai habis dapat 18 DC (row 3)
5. kait pulak 2 DC , 1 dc, 1 dc, 2 dc hingga dapat 24 DC (row 4)

ulang step ni hingga dapat saiz yang dikehendaki

lazy daisy adalah satu variasi dalam seni sulaman benang yang mudah untuk dibuat. kita boleh sulam sulaman yang mudah ni pada pakaian , bag atau tudung. cantik kalau sulam atas tudung bawal kosong.

leftover yarns keychain

Hardcore crocheters will normally have pile of yarns an yarn leftover stock. I will show you some of the keychains that i made of leftover yarns . I also have a habit of buy the yarn first whenever i found it interesting and beautiful than later will figure out what to do with it( not a good habit though...). so as usual some of the yarns will be left there for a very long time before i can think about what i can do with it. Keychain and small flowers seem to be the good solution to this problem...:-)

knitted baby blanket

Ini adalah selimut untuk latest baby saya. Nasib baik sempat siap untuk menyambut kelahirannya. cuma benang x cukup untuk buat topi dan kasut. pegi kat kedai tu tuan kedai tu kata stok lambat lagi nak sampai... malas pulak nak mencari kat kedai lain dalam keadaan sarat. so end up selimut ni je la yang siap.

Masa nak ambik baby balik dari nursery kat spital, ada sorang nurse kat pantai hospital (chinese) punya berkenan kat selimut ni... dia cakap...waaaa...very soft maaa... mesti benang mahal... aku kata x de la mahal mana rm5.90 jeh seketui...selimut tu pakai 3 ketui...beriya dia membelek selimut tu..kalau tak mengenangkan penat nak menyiapkan selimut ni nak je aku cakap kalau nak ambik la... tapi sayang la pulak...(fact: knitting is 3 times slower than crochet) hehehe...siap tanya pesal aku x buat topi skali...aku cakap x sempat....:P . see some of the uneven stitch... by right kalau lepas kait kita iron sket stitch tu akan jadi rata elok... tapi saya x sempat nak iron, terus basuh dan terus pakai...

Daisy stitch

Hi, korang semua pernah dengar tak daisy sticth..?it's one kind of variation untuk sesape yang suka mengait ni. saya dah lam cuba nak buat sticth ni tapi sebab tak de panduan nak buat selalu ak jadi. instruction kat internet pun cam tak berapa clear je. stitch ni sesuai untuk buat item-item seperti booties , baby blanket, sweater ( normally garment la)... dll ...

so since hari ni saya cuti..tak larat nak pegi kerja sebab tengah menunggu hari , saya browse thru youtube dan terjumpa intruction yang sangat clear dari theresa richardson untuk mengait stitch ni...laaa... rupanya mudah jer... ingatkan susah sangat. untuk yang berminat nak belajar buat daisy sticth here's the video:

Ni adalah kaktus yang mesra kanak-kanak...hehehe sebab tak de duri dan tak payah siram, kalau nak cantikkan lagi , boleh jahit manik2 warna silver or kuning sebagai duri tapi sebab saya ni seorang yang pemalas dan tidak teliti cukuplah macam ni saja.

Sebenarnya projek kaktus ni semata-mata nak menghabiskan benang2 hijau yang saya beli beberapa tahun lepas entah untuk apa pun tak ingat dah. sebahagiannya saya dah jadikan katak dalam projek saya:
Katak kembung . walaupun dah buat kaktus ni banyak lagi yang berlebih ni.. nampak gaya kena cari green pattern lagi la untuk habiskan benang2 ni.

Pattern untuk kaktus ni saya tiru dari:all craft . respek r kat dia ni sebab come out with such a great pattern yang rasanya kita susah nak pikir. cute tapi mudah sangat nak buat.

Kat dalamnya pula saya stuff dengan kapas biasa yang kita boleh beli dalam bentuk gulung2 tu (kapas mayat...hehehe). sticthnya pulak semuanya single stitch kecuali untuk bunganya saja. untuk badan kaktus kita kait backloop single stitch

Pot dia ni sepatutnya warna merah bata ( terracotta) tapi since benang warna light brown ni aja yang ada ... bantai jer la...bestkan ada kaktus yang tak payah siram ni... korang try le...
