Ramai yang tanya saya macammana nak mengait guna jarum dua ni... sebenarnya saya pun tak expert sangat tapi bolehla sikit-sikit. saya dah prepare series of youtube video on basic knitting. kalau tak paham anda dialu-alukan bagi komen dan feedback.

How to make a hat

I receive alot of feedback asking me to show how to crochet a hat. Unfortunately i just dont have a spare time to demo how to do it. This video taken from Youtube will show you how to create your own hat:

fruit coaster

My eldest daugther is starting to pick up crochet.currently she just know how to crochet in rows...
so last weekend i decided to teach her to crochet in round.Looks like the step confused her and she started to grumble and felt dissapointed. you can read her conflict in her blog : http://alanicrochet.blogspot.com/ . to make her excited i crochet a few fruit coaster for her to see what she can do with round. It help to make her eager to learn it...:-)

i have uploaded a video to share how i made this coaster. the one that i ve uploaded is for green apple coaster but by changing the color you can create the others. the method is just the same.

My T-shirt crochet trim

I bought this blouse many2 years back but i hardly wear it coz everytime i wear it i feel that i've downgraded myself to a very low level.It is a short blouse that made every move resticted or else somebody will be lucky enough to see my back or my tummy.this is me in the shirt before i crochet the edging...

Anything above my bottom will always make me uncomfortable.But i like this blouse so much so i crochet the edge to make it longer.


This is the close up of the stich. It is ideal to be applied as garment sticth.




this is the instruction for the stich:

row 1:2 dc in the 4th ch from hook. * ch 8, sk 11 ch, ( 2 dc , ch 2, 2 dc) in the next ch, sk 3 ch ,( 2 dc , ch2, 2 dc) in the next ch, rep from *, ending row with 3 dc in the last ch, ch 3 , turn.

row 2:2 dc in the 1st dc. * ch 4 , sc around center of ch-8 sp. ch 4,(2 dc , ch 2, 2 dc in the next ch-2 sp) 2 times, rep from *, endng row with ch , 3 dc in tch, ch 3 , turn.

row 3 : 2 dc in the 1st dc.* ch 5, sk 4 ch,sc in sc,ch 3 , turn,5 dc around ch-5 sp just made, ch 3 , turn, sk 1 dc , dc in the next 3 dc,sk next dc,dc in the top of tch,( 2 dc , ch 2,2 dc in the next ch-2 sp) 2 times,rep from *, ending row with 3 dc in top of tch,ch 3 , turn

row 4 : 2 dc in 1st dc, * ch 8, ( 2 dc , ch 2,2 dc in the next ch-2 sp) 2 times,rep from * , ending row witch ch 8, 3 dc in tch,ch 3 , turn

rep rows 2 to 4 for patterns.

I have bad habit...doing thing halfway... eventhough i said i will finish whatever i have started it usually take me years to finish it. , dont ask me why i choose the crest coz i really dont know , eventhough i am sort of not like it i still choose it... really dont know why...but i like the tagline so much ( i created it myself yeah...) : the crafters secret rendezvouz... from small when i started crocheting at the age 12 i dream to have a place.... like a shop but not a shop. it is a place where crafters can gather... have a cup of tea and chit chat while finishing their project... a secret rendezvouz where other people cannot enter... well they can if they want la...:-). but i have no money to setup those kind of place plus i am really buzzy with my paid job, and my family. hmmmm... so website looks like a good idea...

sunflower Hat

i always imagine that i make this brown hat with sunflower. So during the Chinese New year holiday this year i manage to put my imagination into reality.

We have along journey from penang to kuantan to visit my brother, then proceed the journey to visit my parent. during the 4 days holiday i manage to complete the hat for my eldest daughter.

the hat ill be best crochet using a lil bit heavy yarn such as cotton viscose.
